Well maybe not for some but I've been thinking about the S&W Model 35 for a while now and finally found a couple I didn't have to sell the cat for.... These two lil 'ole .22lr revolvers are both 35-1s made somewhere in the late '60s or early '70s. I haven't gotten to shoot them much because I'm being good and staying home till the scourge passes. I have shot a couple CCI low noise rounds at a little chipmunk target I drew on a cardboard box and I think they're going to do just fine. I posted previously about my woes with the J-Frame guns. Well I can tell you for sure that these 6" barrels make it a whole nuther animal. The lovely Keith Brown grips really make a HUGE difference too. Maybe not a "kit" gun but man are they nice! Last pic is taken with my M17 for size comparison....

Those are beautiful! I especially like the grips. Are they new or have you had them for a while?

Have many J frames but no M 35, will have to start watching for one now but after this it would not be complete without the Kieth Brown grips. Very nice .22s, all three.

BEAUTIFUL pair!!!!! Would love to find a set of proper looking set of grips for mine.... Have had four 35s over the years and one pre-34 with a 35 barrel...aluban talked me out of that one... The one I kept was a mid-1970s vintage gun. Had a local factory trained Smith-smith fit a Model 51 cylinder I found on ebay...wonderful shooter... www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/galleries/14758061#Post14758061..a gun S&W should still be making... Target speaks for itself...that is the 51 cylinder...and that high right shot was a called pull...
I wonder what Brown gets for those grips...probably $300+....they are works of art however....
Whatever you paid for that pair...wasn't enough....

Man when I think J frames a long barrel 22 doesn’t come to mind. I have 10 J frames and not one with a barrel over 3 inches

Always loved the M-35 and bought the first one I found. Mine is a improved I-frame. The 22mag cylinder makes an almost perfect trail gun...

Those older no-dash 35s are super sweet too. Nice ones can be a bit more spendy....
I really need a cylinder...
