I've always thought these little frames could be used for big projects.
You build a 25-20, 218 Bee, etc on a Blackhawk and it's like carrying a boat anchor.
I'm not done yet myself...this one will be great to watch too.

Flyingzebra, I’ve a 38Super commmader with another top end in 9mm for shooting steel plate matches with but it’s a 5” upper with machining cuts to lighten the slide. Both are wonderful to shoot, but the 38 Super is my favorite, it’s a carry gun in that configuration.

2 Dogs mentioned something about a single six .38 Super conversion a while back and I have been thinking about it ever since. That would be fun

It's going to be cool to see how he progresses with this little wheelgun. He's also working on a two-slide multi-caliber 1911. That'll be some good material for a different conversation. Here's where he was with the project today. I don't expect to see more progress for a week or two. Cylinder fitted, and top strap squared up with the bore. Cylinder line boring was getting a start today as well. That is going to be beautiful when completed.... What kind of base gun is your friend using for his multi-caliber 1911 setup... I did one a few years ago using a Kimber Stainless Target II 10mm as a base... singleactions.proboards.com/thread/24056/all-1911Sounds like my kinda guy... Bob

Nice 1911 kit! What are the calibers? This Single Six will be fun. Definitely a lot of fun potential in the little revolvers. That 4140 cylinder ended up getting it's own bit of fun today, and it's headed for the heat treating shop tomorrow...

Yes there's a lot of room to get rowdy with handloads. Heat treated 4140 is some pretty hardy material.
I'll check out the linked thread. :-)

I found this thread while I was looking for .38 Special Single Six info. Any updates on the .38 Super build?

I'll get back on it.
There's some other Single Six tomfoolery happening currently too.
More to come!

A three barreled single action! Awesome! It's like a LeMat, but with an extra barrel...maybe a "TreMat"?
