I really like the mosaic pins. To me they seem elegant. I'm not much of a knife guy but I could be tempted by Kim's knives. Kim’s knives will make you a knife guy! I swore I just needed one but well my name is up on the list again and he is building me another one as we speak...

Well my name came up on Kim's list again so we tossed some ideas around and this set is what came out of it. He calls this one his Sixshot model, obviously named after the one and only Dick Thompson, and the second knife is a Sixshot Semi-skinner. The scales are buffalo horn dividing some of the last snakewood I had and some white dentine material I had on had. I really like how Kim came up with the design to place the snakewood on the upper part on one and on the lower part on the other knife. Mike's awesome sheaths top the set off. The steel is D2 and both have mosaic pins. The sheaths are pretty darn tight and as I was putting the Sixshot knife back in the sheath the sheath flexed in my hand ad the knife tip made its escape through the front of the sheath and JUST barely touched my finger. Lesson, make sure sheaths stay straight when inserting sharp knives! Kim had build a smaller light weight knife for me out of snakewood and ivory and it found a new home with Dustin Linebaughs little girl last summer when I was there. She goes packing in with them and rides in front of daddy on his horse so I told her she needed a knife for when she got her first animal so the knife became hers.

You might want to go on a horse ride with Robb 😜. I have built one that’s donated to my sons’s PTA (Physical Therapist Assistant) class to raffle off and raise money for their testing materials. Once they figure out how and how much they chances will be, I’ll inform those that may be interested.
