Hello All, I picked my new to me Beauty today after being wait listed for the first time in my life. I know it's was commissioned by Lew Horton in 1999 but that's about it. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Boats

Had one until a divorce forced sales in the gun safe to prevent loss of other properties! Used mine with a mild loading of Red Dot under a 230gLRN for potting rabbits and such other duties

Great find Boats!!!!! Just recently picked up a 625-7 Mtn Gun myself and love it..... and I love it 😁 Although I’m waiting on a new hand spring to arrive tomorrow as the old one flung itself gone during a deep clean LOL

Nice gun!!! I’ve got it’s twin in a 629 and it’s my favorite DA. That was the gun I was looking for when I bought my girl a 69, very nice find.

Old okay lol. Home now so records are available in hand loading notes. Previously mentioned loading was extremely accurate for a forty-ish blind man out to 25yds on paper. Mine registered 23 cottontails, 3 swamp rabbits , 5 opossums and one big boar coon in 3 year period. Would love to say a multitude of bullets & powders were tried but it nenes happened. Did shoot extremely well with most anything though. Was fond of the now CLASSIC Hank,Jr./JT/MV load of 20 g IMR’s/h4227 under most any 240-270 g bullet also

That is one fine gun. Do they still make one like that?

That is one fine gun. Do they still make one like that? You might find a new one with the lock in 44 Magnum but not 45 Colt. Mine was made in 1999. It doesn't have the lock but it does have MIM parts inside. Happy Shooting. Boats

Beautiful Gun... S&W made one just like it for LH about that same time in .41 Magnum. A few weeks ago I picked up another LH Special made in 1999 called the Defensive Revolver from the Performance Center...also in .41 Magnum... Too bad LH went out of business last December...they had LOTS of great exclusives... Bob
