The first one was John Powers and he was working on my 45 Colt Bisley. He was checking the gun out and found the cylinder throats where tight and wanted to know if I wanted them opened. So I gave him permission. The second call was him back and my revolver was done! Going to mail him a check tomorrow. Been a great day here in lock down!

Other than the throats, what is he doing for you? Glad to hear a little good news these days! Stay safe!

Trigger and action job, free spin pawl, drill and tap for a Rapator base, oversized base pin and all the screws, pins, base pin are nitrate blued. Think it will look nice with the Stainless Steel gun.

Subtle, but I like the look of the nitre blued pins. While not as pretty as yours, I replaced most of my stainlesss pins/screws with blued ones a while back on my stainless RBH's. Looking at your revolver , I realized I forgot about my cylinder pin and ejector. Nice grips too, Mesquite or Maple?
You mentioned drill and tap for the Raptor base, what did he do there? I've used 5 of those mounts and am curious what he did. Did he modify it to use the front pin that is used for the the rear sight, or another screw? Personally, I like the mount, but I've always felt it needed another attachment point.
Regardless, a nice revolver and I know you're glad it's back in your hands.

dhd Thanks the base is mounts by a screw in the rear sight hole. The grip are Birdseye Maple out of a board that I got years ago. Zane from LSCG did a great job !

Understood. I have 5 of those mounts and found there is a little wiggle in them and wondered if you had it attached with a second screw because you stated drill and tap for a Raptor base.
I've modified all but one here to use the front pin hole (the front pin that typically holds the rear sight). The Flattops have enough meat to drill a hole already, but the full size BH's need to have some aluminum added.
For some reason I really appreciate a lighter colored grip material on a stainless gun. You grips look very good!

Clint’s pictures Very nice!! Tim ***** Clint.... handsome revolver. Acents compliment the stand-alone Ruger aesthetic, which makes stock Blackhawk/ Super Blackhawk/ Blackhawk Maximum and Bisley variants the benchmark of all adjustable sight single actions. Trust we shall see a range & load report. David Bradshaw
