Sighted in the NV scope today. Instructions say one shot zero. It took me two. It’s the IR, you can’t see the scoring rings , just the black bullseye circle. So I figure the third shot in the X ring will do me fine, no more adjusting, I think I’d be chasing my tail.

Will be curious how well those Hornady 40's work for coyotes.

I think the 40's go 3,200 per second, the 32's are 4K. Used to shoot a LOT of 204, buying it by the case.

I've often considered getting a .204.
Back when i used to call and hunt much more, i used a .17 rem and a .22-250 the most. A TC Contender with .223 super 14 barrel a bit. Really like the .17 but did have one fox it really ripped up and a well hit coyote that got back up and then couldn't find in thick brush and briars.

My kids recently goaded me into an AR. I’m more of a single shot /lever action guy, but got one from Palmetto, in 223. Nothing fancy, just basic budget level AR.
Then I started reading....I know, that can be dangerous and expensive. I turned out to be both. Bought a 277 wolverine barrel for the AR, that is the only change required for that caliber. Then I bought a thermal and put on it. First night out walked into a herd of hogs. This is too much fun, hitting them on the run is addictive!
Now I’m constantly looking for fresh country to hunt, our place isn’t big enough to hold em after a battle. They leave for 10 days or so, but they will be back
