While it is a nice looking gun,, I noticed that the seller didn't show the serial number, or list it anywhere. He claims it's a very early FT. HOWEVER,, I think by studying the pics,, it may be a later protected ears gun that a custom FT job was done to it. The topstrap is not the same contour as the factory FT's. Plus,, the sight channel is shallow for the (possible Millett?) rear sight. And the cross pin is very close to the topstrap edge. The base pin is a later variation.
Still a nice custom shooter!

I thought something looked off with that rear sight. I’ve never owned a flattop, so I wasn’t sure.

The SN is 25945.A 1960 flattop. With a transfer bar added.

A perfect example of someones idea of their dream custom Ruger but one that doesn't match many others ideas of the same. It has been for sale for quite some time now and I suspect it will continue to be available for awhile longer.

I didn't get but the first few pictures. I didn't know to scroll further. My mistake.
Still,, a nice looking gun,, but just not what I prefer.

That rear sight cross pin does look close to the top of the strap.

Is that a cut down Millet sight?
