I picked this gun up about a year ago from Keith’s estate. If you don’t know who he is then I suggest doing a little research. He was an extremely cool guy and was a genius when it came to gun mechanics and engineering of these in general. He was a major contributor to the success of the TLA revolver coming to fruition. His lever guns are extremely cool! This gun is a falling block 45-70, he fabricated it from scratch. What’s really cool is the prototype he machined from micarta to check parts function before building the real gun. I will always remember the conversations I was able to have with him over lunch at the range. His understanding of the mechanics amazed me. I was honored to add this one to the collection. I’ve never really showed pics of this one before so I figured it would be cool to let everyone see it. Reminds me of an old Howdah KEITH WAS A GOOD FRIEND AND A GENIUS. I HAVE SEVERAL LEVERGUNS HE CUSTOMIZED FOR ME.HE DUPLICATED THE #5 LOCKING CYLINDER LATCH FOR TLA.

I would have liked to have it as well. I always admired yours and had the opportunity to shoot one of his once. Wish I had been a little quicker to decide that day 😩

Zeus, have you shot it?? I’m wondering about recoil and accuracy, or if as you mention it’s intent was point blank Tiger shooting from atop an elephant.
Very cool though.

Yep, that's a very cool gun. I like it as it reminds me of a Ruger #1 in pistol form.

Too cool. Can't remember who he did it for, maybe NAA but I remember a neat little mini revolver he designed.

I have to agree with the previous comments, that’s just too cool! Love that the design follows in the style of the old English falling blocks. Looks like it would have been right at home on the safaris of years gone by. Like bigbrowndog I’m curious, have you shot it yet? Wondering what recoil is like with that grip angle?

Impressive handgun Glenn....A true "one and only"... I had called Bill Grover about a problem with my #5 and he put me in touch with Keith. It was a most interesting conversation. Sent him my #5 that he rebuilt saying a lot of the parts were not heat treated. Told me he wanted to replace the grips on my TLA with some plywood but did not have the "heart"... Good guy.. You got yourself some handgun. Was thinking about what it took just to make the micarta mock up.... A real gun man for sure...

I haven’t shot it. I’ll try to this year sometime. I’ll likely try some old trapdoor loads. Barrel looks great inside. I bet it shoots!
