I AM VERY PROUD TO SAY THAT I HAVE NEVER BEEN ON FACEBOOK, NOR EVER USED ONE OF THEM MONEY MACHINES THAT GIVES YOU MONEY, NOR EVER DONE ANY ON LINE BANKING, AND I BELIEVE I AM ALL THE BETTER OFF FOR IT.

Speaking of anti hunters, I was organizing some of my education material today and in the back of one drawer I found a file with some of my Hunter Ed materials I kept in it. There was the ethics lesson, my range master certificate and at the very back I found a rebuttal article I wrote 10+ years ago in response to an anti hunting article the state largest newspaper had printed. I had sent the rebuttal in and didn't think a thing about it until I got a call from the outdoor editor asking me some questions and for references as to where I got some of my dollar numbers that sportsmen provide to wildlife conservation. They actually published the rebuttal out of the many responses they received and dog gone if they didn't even send me a check for $200! My partner in the hunter ed class was miffed simply because he had done the outdoor section for our little local rag for years and all he got was an attaboy for all the writing! Kings6 If you don't mind, would you mind sharing the article here (or under it's own thread)?

I wish I had the luxury.... Still have a 50/50 chance the Chinese have your SSN and all your PII from Equifax if you have a credit score.

I'll try to scan it and post it when I get back from this next trip. I too have never used an ATM nor a Debit card but I do a little online banking just so I can move stuff between accounts at the same credit union.

It is always impressive to see people that have never been involved with something give a totally fair, impartial and comprehensive judgementat of something they have never taken part in. Kind of like someone of an opposing political party or religion explaining the pros and cons of the other side.

Sorry, I am just totally ambivalent about it. I just see no need for it in my life. If a person wants to use it and spend time on it then more power to them, it's just not for me just like the other things I listed are not. But then I still hunt with open sighted handguns, ride a half horse/ half donkey and put hay bales in the barn by hand too.

Unfortunately Facebook is killing most of the Gear-head type of "Tech" forums I have enjoyed for years.
This forum & a few other firearm sites are the exception.

And before there were forums which I like. I liked purusing books and magazines. But forums helped do away with them for information gathering. And before them people talked to gain knowledge. With FB I can write one message and post 1 set of pics and scores of friends can have them. In the old days I would have had to write dozens on letters and copy pictures dozens of times send them in the mail and wait maybe weeks for a response. But people can choose any of a number of ways to communicate that have been used over the decades. And some day there will be something different tgen there is now.

I was on facebook long ago. I decided it was just a bunch of noise to me. I'm glad some are able to get enjoyment out of it, but it's definitely not for me.

I have a FB account. I don't require it, but by all means, feel free to send me $100 and you can post all you want on my page!

I don't do Facebook, I would rather listen to Chess on the radio!

Facebook has helped my wife regain closeness with her wide spread family. I keep reminding her, Anything posted, pics etc., stay in there forever and no promises of security were given or possible. Be careful who you like or friend or whatever. My few remaining family and small tight group of friends better served by text. No real security there, or anywhere truly. Just like on an airplane, be careful to avoid certain words, what you say in general.

I use FB quite frequently. Keep track of kids and grandkids. Have a few close friends on there. Plus family in Oregon.
Sell stuff on their marketplace, but to each their own.
