I decided I really like this SA Hellcat, so I put up my blued steel and walnut and now the Hellcat will go everywhere with me. Not a lot of personality, but tiny, thin, 13 shot 9mm with night sights is pretty decent little carry piece.

Commissioned as an LEO in 1970, started carrying concealed. Still do. For me the journey for the perfect CCW piece ended when I found the Sig 365xl. Competitor to the Hellcat but either one checks all the boxes in what I need checked in a concealed carry weapon. Would like to know it runs for you, as in range and ammo report.

Will do as soon as I get it out and put it through the paces. Retired LEO and Dept firearm instructor here as well. Been concealed carrying since 1986. Still love my .44 Bulldog and my Browning BDA, but the Hellcat is thinner, lighter, more rounds, and night sight.....so what’s not to like.

mk70ss: Amen, sometimes tradition has to give way to innovation.

I just made the same decision and bought an almost new XDS .45 4.0. Love it so far. Conceals really nice since its a single stack and ultra thin. Not crazy about the low round count but I do like the big hole it makes.

I’ve been hunting for different CCW gun lately. I’m still packing a 1911 every day. Not the most practical of guns to carry, but I know it’ll hit where I want and make some big holes.

A 9 mm S&W Shield or .45 Shield everyday. They have never missed a beat and shoot where they should.

Have to disagree with you on the no soul part Axe. I think they have the soul of a warrior, not necessarily pretty, but always vigilant ,always ready to do whats necessary, what they are called on to do ,what MUST BE DONE.

Glock 43 and Glock 36 here. Tools with no soul but the right tool for the job. I carried a 43 for about 6 months then my wife decided that would be perfect for her. Lol I’m really thinking about a Sig 365

I've been looking hard at these myself. Not sure I want to trade it for my SA XDs in 45acp. Wonder if they will bring out a 45 model?
