First, she stoled my heart, then she stoled my money, then she stoled my youth. After all that she done stoled my Ruger P345 well over 10 years ago and shooting the 45 never bothered her. This is her car gun, her everyday gun. She loves it and I'm nearly sure it loves her.

Next is my LCP the statute of limitations has run out on this one as well. She does not like it. It is a tool, but she's no dummy. The .380 in her pocket is better than the .45 in the car and she knows it and shoots it as such.

This is one of the "1 OF 5000" Bill Ruger Signature Standard Auto's from 1982(I think) and while it used to be part of a collection I wanted the only stainless Standard ever made TO SHOOT! Brother, does it shoot. Anyway, about five or six years ago the Mrs. shot this, decided she liked it and deemed it her "door gun". I suggested something a bit meaner, but she can slap it quick and can hit an offending rabbit, etc. from the porch with it.

Sounds Like love to me. You'll find my wife's finger prints on what used to be my 22/45.

This is purely utilitarian and I so love her for that. This is her "diaper bag gun" and that is neither exaggeration nor lie. It sits in the pocket where the "binkies" go(which pocket do you store YOUR diaper bag gun in?). It's just a $200 SCCY 9mm and these are shockingly fine pistols for the money and one doesn't even mind the pablu m stains.

Finally, a bonafide classic. One of the very first PPK 22lr's to come out of Manurhin when Germany could not produce firearms. I believe this one was made in '54-'55. It is a fine pistol and she saw it in a photo I took of a coyote, sitting on the dash of her Explorer. "Hey! That matches my truck!", was exclaimed. I waited for the punchline. My wife is all woman, but not one a' them "It matches my truck" broads! I told her it carries a fair amount of value and that didn't seem to register. I told her it was a gift from my dead grandpa, still nothing. It's a nice gun she has and I sure miss it.

Nice collection, obviously a nice wife. Continue to enjoy both for many years to come.

I sincerely enjoyed this. It sounds like you, guns, and your wife were made for each other. My first semi-auto was a Ruger p345 exactly like the one shown above. I shot the mess out of it with every conceivable load and bullet there was (within reason), only to eventually swap it straight up for a two horse trailer. Meanwhile, that guy is still enjoying his Ruger pistol and I'm welding rust spots and replacing tires.

I believe the 345 is a gem and they just keep on going. I'm honestly waiting for the right trailer that someone wants to swap me for, but I have time because my daughter's barely one and her horse doesn't even exist yet.

When the revolvers start migrating to the other side of the bed, you may have to draw a line..LOL. Good luck.

I fixed the problem of my better half claiming my guns. I got her guns of her own!
Of course,, she often says; "I've got my gun collection,,, then I have a REAL gun collection!" And she (hopefully) jokes about her inheritance not quite full enough yet!

I fixed the problem of my better half claiming my guns. I got her guns of her own! Of course,, she often says; "I've got my gun collection,,, then I have a REAL gun collection!" And she (hopefully) jokes about her inheritance not quite full enough yet! She has some of those guns as well. When I let go of several 7.62x39's(mostly MAK90's) after busting my back up she was very fond of a couple Bulgarian AK74's I have but wanted her own and wanted a Russian one and at the time a Saiga cost barely over $300 and that was a big winner. She wanted a Hi-Point carbine in .40S&W after shooting a friends long ago. I told her it was purely for recreation, but thousands of rounds without a single hiccup after well over a decade is tough to argue with. Once she brought home what appears to be a brand new Mossberg 702 that "some fool couldn't find a magazine for" and she had to force a $20 bill on him for it. She had magazines in the mail from the .webs before I could even tell her how easy it was to get such mags. Nearly 15 years later that silly little Plinkster has the most shocking, deep blue on it's barrel and it's a real shooter. She has developed her own tastes and interests and has taken to demanding an LCP in .22lr, which she will have. She's got her own AND she steals mine, but she's stuck with me and for that she may name them all her own. I'd say I'm still getting the good end of the deal.

When the revolvers start migrating to the other side of the bed, you may have to draw a line..LOL. Good luck. I don't know if that's a blessing or a curse. She really likes the .357 in a carbine or rifle but the blast and concussion turns her off when it comes to recreational shooting. She really takes to lower pressure cartridges in longer barreled revolvers such as 6" K-frame S&W's in .38spl or .22lr, 6.5" Single Sixes and the like. She does not enjoy the 4&5/8" barrels but appreciates the utility of the Wrangler. That which suits us ergonomically and that which tickles our tastebuds can be strange, conflicting things and are truly unique to each of us.
