Picked up what should be my last gun of 2009 yesterday... Decent little 7.5 inch 357 Maximum. Little gun feels like it has had a trigger job. Trigger feels good but the wannabe Gun Plumber didn't have hollow ground screwdrivers... The fix will come easy with a full Bisley conversion. Absolutely no flame cutting on the top strap. Current plan is to give it a chance to shoot before we consider making it a 414...

Nice find. Regardless of how it shoots though, turn it into a 414....not many of those out there. -Lee www.singleactions.com

I think it needs to come to Va. first for some magnafluxing and maybe a few dyno runs before you do anything drastic. You can't be too safe these days. ;D

My Maxi is very, very accurate but will remain a 357. Mine is well put together with a very nice trigger too. I believe most were. H/IMR4227 and the 180 gr XTP is my go to load. About my only guns that has not seen a cast slug.

Gotta love the maxi. Picked up mine a couple months ago - my first and also a 7 1/2". Already been Bisley-ized but having loading gate spring issues for some reason. Gotta find a 101 /2" one next.

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D My 445 does need a companion doesn't it... Sure looks like a good base a for a .50 cal percussion. I've often thought about doing one, just may do it yet.

Thats an awesome firearm Axe and I've seen pictures and read about it before. I havent done any investigating yet but I figured I could get more capacity in the maximum frame.

Man, I hate you "enablers"...I never wanted a .357 Maximum before, but now I feel my life isn't complete without one...just missed one from a member last week...
BTW, went to the range today to sight in a new cowboy load in my Long Hunter .44 Special Blackhawks...put a bunch more rounds through one of those new polymer-framed Blackhawks from Ruger (mine is the red gripframe in 7.62 X 25 Toke)...sweet!
