Had been meaning to do this for a while now, feels great in rapid DA fire to have the positive stop.

I can see the genius in it! Well done Sir! I have 3 Redhawks that I might just have to mod the same way.

I have 3 Redhawks that I might just have to mod the same way. KEN O'NEILL aka 500WE SWEARS THAT AN OVERTRAVEL SCREW IS A MUST ON A REDHAWK. I GOT ONE ON A LINEBAUGH 45 COLT 5 1/2 INCH SS REDHAWK AND I THINK HE MAY BE RIGHT.

I currently have overtravel stops on pretty much all of my guns. When properly fitted I like them.

Looks good! How is the screw locked in place so it doesnt “self adjust” under recoil?

I've learned the triggers are HARD and difficult to install a stop on. With yours problem solved. Who did that sir? Thank you, very nice looking firearm.
Your gun has no spur? Tell us about it please.

I coated the set screw in a healthy amount of Loc Tite, should stay put until adjusted on purpose.
As for hardness of the parts, I used a mill to drill and tap the hole. Made things pretty easy. I went slow and didn't have any trouble.
For the hammer, I ground off the spur then shaped it to match the frame contour. Once flat and smooth it got 50 LPI checkering to reduce glare.

That is very nice. You wouldn’t happen to have a better pic of that hammer would you?
