These might go nicely in a 44 Special once I get them processed. Happy New Year! Boats

For me, my favorite is the Accurate Molds 431250TG (a really nice 250 grain gas checked SWC) with 7.5 grains of Unique or 14 grains of 2400. They run right at 1000 fps, shoot like a dream and will handle any critter that a 44 Special should face (and then some). Enjoy!

Thanks for that article. I have a Saeco mold that casts a 265 Gr FNGC. But I really like that 280 gr LBT bullet in the article. I just don't have time enough these days to cast. Anyone know of a source for these bullets? Or, something similar between 265 and 280 grains? I know Beartooth offers the 280 PB but it's kinda pricey! I guess I'm stuck in the past when $30 would get you 500 good quality 44 bullets! My stockpile of those old bargains is dwindling, time to buy more and I have sticker shock!

Montana Bullet Works www.montanabulletworks.com/product/44-mag-lbt-280gr-wfn-pb/Not cheap but high quality hand cast bullets. I've always been able to get mine from MBW much faster that Beartooth (also good bullets). If you are looking for a cheaper 280 grain bullet the Keith style from GT is pretty good. Certainly not $30 for 500 and if you find those please post a link for me. Those prices are like the Dodo... Gone forever. Dan

My favorite 44 Spl load in all my 44s and especially the 4.6" Flattop Bisley is the 8.0 Power Pistol load with a 240-250 LSWC, standard large primer: Superb accuracy in all my 44s, Mags included and is whistling along at 950fps and only 17,000 PSI for pressure.
Taken from Brian Pearce's work in Handloader Mag Teir 2 44 Spl load.

I use the three Kieth loads, 5 grains of Bullseye, 7.5 Unique and 17 grains of 2400 with a 250 SWC in my 5.5" Ruger Bisley 44 special. It likes them all. I'm just starting to play with HS6 in some of my revolvers and like it a lot so far. I haven't gotten around to trying it in the 44 Special yet. This is the load I’m using also. Works great in my 5.5” Flattop

My current load in my 5 1/2” 44spl Bisley FT is 18.5gr of H110, Fed mag primer, and 245-265gr H&G 503 clone made by MP molds The the 2 different weights are the same bullet just a HP version and a solid version. Once the range reopens, I plan to try some Power Pistol, play with HS-6 some more, and try 2400 again.
