I knew the deputy that carried this gun in the 70s. It was gifted to me by a mutual friend including the Roy Baker holster he used to carry it. I need to take some good pics of it.

.Many years ago a friend had one of those old bulldogs. I remember arcking bullets across a canyon with sun on our backs, we could see the bullets in flight by the reflection..

Had one in my 20s and new to big bore handguns. Couldn't handle it and ammo was super expensive. Traded it. Should get one of the classics now in 3" I would approach the 44 Bulldog in a much different manner.
Actions were pretty rough, got some 215 full wadcutters at 800fps would be an interesting carry load.

This gun was his back up and off duty carry gun. After he retired it stayed on his night stand for over 20 years. I even have the ammo that was in the gun. He died 2 years ago from cancer. I need to get it out and shoot it.

Reflex the old Winchester Silvertip 44 Spl load and the CCI/Speer 200 grain Gold Dot are good candidates for carry in that little cannon.

Groo here As they are 5 shot not 6 many overlooked them. But those that had them seemed to like them A LOT... And most used the old rn lead loads with good effect.

A guy that rents a corner off us here at work has one he wants $300 for. Is that a far price?
Thanks Justin

Fair, depends on condition. In good shape and is cosmetically clean, extras help such as brass and other goodies.

I’m hoping it’s a nice gun. I’ve been wanting a revolver for a CCW. The only thing I have revolver wise that can be considered a CCW gun is a S&W model 60 lady smith. I really want something with a bigger hole. I’ll check it out tomorrow and let you guys know.

Those are neat old guns....
I had one back in the 1970s but it was one of those that had a flat spot on the bottom of the forcing cone and the bullets would loose stability and start tumbling after about 15 yards...
Had one again in the early 2000s that was an older gun but shot just fine...
