I have a S&W 625 on the way and I was looking to stock up on moon clips and a moon clip loading tool. Are there any that work better than others? Any certain brands to avoid?

I use mostly Ranch Products for my moons. I have a 25-2, a 646 in 40 S&W, a few ruger 9mm DA's, and a 10mm Match Champion. I have zero complaints about them.

I get most of mine from Revolver Supply. Never had a problem. I have a 1917 and a 625 PC

I always bought Ranch. With the 45 it's not real critical.

Any recommendations on a clip loader? So far I really like the Dillon.

For shooting at the range I prefer the poly Rimz moonclips. No need for any special tools. Very easy to load and unload by hand. For carrying, I use the Smith & Wesson clips in my 1917 Colt, but any of the quality manufacturers should work just fine.

I’ve been looking at the Speed Beez but can’t find much info on them.

I shoot 10-20k rounds a year out of moonclipped revolvers. For a S&W 625 I'd suggest ordering a 100 pk of Ranch Products clips and a BMT loading tool. 8 shot guns are a different story, but for 6 shot ACP guns the stamped clips work just fine.

Just another note,, for an unloading tool,, I used a piece of aluminum tubing (with the proper ID,) and added a notch & handle to it. Easy to build, and works like a champ! I have a couple of different unloading tools myself. I use the California Competition works tool sold by Dillon a lot.
