I get all the major gun publications. I still haven't found that article that starts out "what a piece of crap this gun is." IT IS EASY TO TELL. WHETHER FIREARMS OR ACCESSORIES IF THEY ARE NOT GOOD WE DON'T WASTE TIME ON THEM. SO IF NO COVERAGE YOU CAN MAKE YOUR WON DEDUCTION AS TO WHY. THERE ARE SEVERAL FIREARMS AND STUFF I WOULD NOT WRITE ABOUT.[/quote] Certainly know that is true with many, possibly most of the gunwriters. Some certain publications and online cause me to scratch my head.

My hands do not fit the 41 frame well, my second issue handgun was a Colt Python 4", year 1970. Smiths fit me better KL frames quite well. That aside, I hope Colt gets a grand slam out of their Pythons. The old Pythons had their issues and Colt has address some of these on the new ones. To those who complain about the quality and the finish, buy one of the old ones for 3 grand. The old days aren't coming back.
I have a new Colt Cobra that has received a lot of naysaying on this forum and others but it is "dead nuts" accurate with an action and sights, that are better than the old DSes and Cobras I carried as a Cop thirty years ago. Better reliability, not as pretty, but my self defense and sporting weapons are tools not idols.

Gunshop couple hours away had one. They sold it on Gunbroker. I suggested that at my shop this morning too. Anybody who can see these will never buy them.

We'll said, Mr. Taffin! I try not to judge things until I get my hands them. Popular opinion doesn't always match reality.

I have had a couple Pythons, and still have a blue four inch one. That said, I hope the new Python is a success. It *may* reduce the demand, and the value for the older guns. I will take that hit, to be able to see the new guns on the market. I hope the younger people like, and take to it. There are a number of the younger people that think revolvers are Fudd guns, and see no use for them. Maybe the Walking Dead fans can now get a gun they can afford, and end up being revolver fanatics.
Mobjack Hoping the New Python does well.

for the price point, if I see experts getting groups at 1” per 25 yards of range, then my interest will be piqued.
