I have been keeping an eye out for a deal on a SRH in 480 Ruger. Is there anything on these that I should look for to avoid? Seems like somewhere along the way I heard that some of these made at some point had some issues, but I cannot remember where/ if I read that about the Supers, or something else.
Thanks.

Some of the target gray ones had/have extraction issues due to rough chambers - I have one. It was too good of a deal to turn down and I haven’t let it bother me too much. It shoots great though.

Thanks! I found one at a gunshow recently that i am kicking myself for not buying. 200 rds of actory ammo and simmons scope for 700. It was a 7.5 inch barrel, and had a set of Pat Meyer grips on it. It felt great!
I am hoping it is there next time i make it to a local show.
If not, I will probably try to hold out for a 9.5 inch barrel model.

Love mine. I have since switched to a 2.5x8 Variable. Great shooter.

I almost pulled the trigger on one on gunbroker this week but a Bisley 357 won out.

Have a 9.5 inch SRH in 480 that's never been fired.
