Hello
I’m looking for a farm/truck/walk around gun. So I started looking at the tracker 2.5” 44. I have a couple smith 327 that I would like to carry but I haven’t had success shooting cci shotshell in them without locking up. I have seen that some on here really like the Taurus, I only have one and have never even fired it. So if anyone has any experience with the trackers I’d like to hear and if they will fire cci shot I’d like to hear.
Thanks

I have the regular 4" model. For a beater 44, it works fine. Small enough frame to be packable. Plenty of punch. Recoil isn't horrendous. cylinder is short so some of the heavy weight ammo doesn't fit. Price was right.

I had a 45 ACP that I wish I still had. Super fun gun! And it functioned just fine with shot shells.

Is this Taurus .44 mag Talo edition the exact same gun as this Rossi .44 mag?

I have two of the Titanium Trackers and one stainless all in .41 Magnum...
Great guns but I would suggest using at most HOT .44 Special loads instead of .44 Magnums...will save you and the gun damage in the long run...

I HAVE NOT TRIED THEM IN A REVOLVER BUT IT SEEMED LIKE INTERNET GOSPEL THAT THEY WOULD. SURPRISED TO HEAR THAT THEY WORKED FINE IN THE BULLDOG.

I once had a ported tracker 4 inch 44 mag. Even with hand loaded +p specials in magnum cases mine would wear out of time about every 100 rounds. Taurus always fixed it, but eventually I got tired of sending it back for work and sold it. Mine might have been a lemon, I don't know. If I were to do it all over again, I would look for something else. BTW... if you happen to get the Taurus, try to not get the ported one. First time you fire that thing without ears on you will regret it.

I had a 4" Taurus tracker .44 mag. It was a pretty nice gun, I saw something I just had to have & sold it. Taurus says NOT to shoot shotshells from ported guns.
