IMO, the lightweight Colt is the most gorgeous piece of work Hamilton puts out. The complete package is simply a masterpiece. I remember drooling over pictures of one posted on his website some 16 years ago.

Absolute stunner! And I'm sure that one will see plenty of range time!

Stunning craftsmanship. I wouldn't want to put that in a holster. Congrats.

Knowing it is too nice to use and using it anyway is the best of feelings. A little honest wear highlights the engravers art. I think that is what made the original #5 so cool. It was top quality and used every day for years...........

I couldn't agree more. Unless it's raining I plan to bring this revolver to the range every week until I die. No joke. It was born to be shot and I hope the finish shows honest and respectful wear when I'm gone.

I for one hope you get some pics of it on hunting trips and better yet successful hunting trips where it was asked to take care of the task at hand... I am envious of this one...

Doc Barranti has struck again! Just a week or so after the SAA arrived so did the holster. The floral carved one with cartridge slide on the bottom is for the SAA.

Range trip #1 was with the .45 ACP cylinder. Today I took it out for the first time sporting its .45 Colt cylinder. Those of you who hand load will appreciate the following: 230 gr RN Blue Bullet 6.75 gr Red Dot 1.605" o.a.l Starline Brass CCI 300 Primer First five shots out of the gun averaged 858 fps with an ES of 5 fps & SD of 2 fps.I have tested more rounds than I can remember and have never had such a small ES and SD. That was pretty cool. Anyway, here's some more pictures of the SAA and now sporting its Barranti shuck. I love Doc's Northwest Mountain Companion holsters. I also took out my first ever 5 shot, a David Clements 500 JRH. These were just some leisure loads, 335 gr running along at 1,132 fps. Plan to work up some max 440 gr loads in the near future with this one.

I really like your new revolver, but your Clements is the one that drove me to have one done myself (Bisquero, short heavy barrel, dovetail front sight, long fat cylinder, and roundish butt, what's not to love). I also love those holsters! Very nice tooling. It's a sad thing to be both a revolver junky and a leather junky. I know many have a holster and use it for more than one revolver, but I have at least 2 per gun. Will it ever end.... Nope

So you found a wonderfully consistent bullet, how does it shoot to the sights? It has to hit where it looks.
