Has anyone received their Standard Mfg. guns yet? I'd really like to get some honest real world opinions on them. They look good on paper, but I have yet to handle one in person. I'm in the market for a set of .44-40 revolvers. I currently shoot a set of 5.5" Colts in .44 Spl, but I want to start doing more black powder cartridge shooting. I've got a couple Winchesters in that caliber and I'm starting to see merit in it for certain things. I'm looking to shoot these guns, not just have them look pretty. I'd appreciate any opinions both good and bad that could be offered by those who have had the chance to run one of these Standard Mfg. revolvers a bit.
Thanks

I looked on the Standard Mfg website today and they show two SAs in .38spl. I wonder if that means they are ready to do calibers other than .45Colt? Bud's still shows only .45Colt.........

Hank, If you'd like to see someone get into the nitty-gritty of Standard Manufacturing's single action, check out Atlantic Product's videos on YouTube. The last one at this link is about his motorcycle but the four previous to that are on aesthetics, build quality (including complete teardown) and shooting. He compares to USFA, Colt and Uberti. Nice close ups. I wish all video reviewers would do such a good job! www.youtube.com/user/atlanticproducts/videos

Hey, foxtrapper I think Mr Harton has cylinders in stock, maybe USFA. He offered to save my .357 cylinder and barrel so I could go back to original. I told him I didn't need them.........

I have a SAR7CC2...it is incredible. I pretty much don’t care if I find a 7.5” Colt anymore.

I want to mention that bushog also offered me a cylinder for my Colt. I didn't say anything about him as Mr Harton had one in stock.
Are the Rodeo models from USFA the same as the regular SAs except for finish. Or do they cut other corners?
