Robb, great post! Is that the 44 octo that spent some time in my safe? If so, I kinda wish I had that one back...but it is far more gratifying to see John putting it to good use.
When I first clicked on this post, I didn't recognize the man with the fine buck, but after I saw who you were talking about I looked harder and sure enough that is our friend John. I texted with him recently - my heart still hurts and will continue prayers for him and his family.

That is the same gun Kraig! Like I mentined earlier, John didn't have any examples of his long cylinder or octagon barrel work and his son had not seen any. It was just right that it go back to John and the family and that he used it to take that buck.
