New load- I really like this one! 38gr. LSWC, 2.0gr. Red Dot, Federal #100 SPP1214 fps., 124 ft.lbs., SD: 18.7 After the start I sort of trailed them down the paper; I was looking for keyholes, but there was nary a one! I do need to switch to a CCI primer; they seem to handle high pressures much better than the Federals.

Real nice, did the federal start to show signs, how much harder do you think you can run the CCI primers.

Real nice, did the federal start to show signs, how much harder do you think you can run the CCI primers. Yeah, they were showing some ugliness. There's enough room in the case for at least another full grain of powder, but these bullets are pretty soft; I think if I drive them much harder severe leading is in my future. In some of my hotter Power Pistol loads the CCI 550 Magnum small pistol primers held up very well. I drove a 31gr GDHP to 1462fps, but they weren't stable. I'm going to see about swaging some 40gr JSWCs and see how hard I can push them.

Just ordered 500 hard-cast 55gr truncated cone flat point bullets from Rimrock. Those should be interesting to play with.

500 of these little lovelies arrived last night- Rimrock Bullets hard-cast 55gr. LRNFPs. Guess how I spent my evening? Loaded some over 2.0gr. of Red Dot; hoping for 1050-1100 fps. That'd make a nice handy little round...

The CCI 500 small pistol primers are handling the abuse well. Also, .251 TCR is now listed on AmmoGuide.com with a bunch of load data.

Tested a new load last night. Rimrock bullets hard-cast 55gr LRNFP over 4.0gr. Power Pistol with a CCI primer. 1157fps, 163 ft./lbs. Good accuracy too!
