14DKT - .221 Fireball necked down to .14 cal www.gunbroker.com/item/824889730I can't tell from the pics if the bullets are over .14 and will have to be swaged to .14 or if it's just a bad picture of something like turned brass or copper projectiles.

I was wondering if that was a sample of the crushed cases trying to size 'em down to .14..?? Like you said...."screamer"!

I saw that last night and thought it was pretty cool.
Reeds has 14 caliber bullets.
I bet that thing weighs a ton since it's basically got a solid rod of steel for a barrel.
Pain to charge those cases with such a large capacity and tiny hole.
Will a bore scope fit down a 14 cal barrel? It'd be nice to inspect it first given the round.
A 2x scope seems inappropriate on that gun. Looks great, but it's no walk around, offhand gun.

I bet that thing weighs a ton since it's basically got a solid rod of steel for a barrel. I didn't know anyone was doing sub-.20 cal bullets commercially. I got interested in the itty-bitty stuff about 10 years ago and they only options then were to swage or turn your own on a lathe so I never pursued it.

Saw a pic on the 'net of a 50 BMG necked down to 22 cal.
Not sure if it was real or not.

Saw a pic on the 'net of a 50 BMG necked down to 22 cal. Not sure if it was real or not. I don’t know if it’s actually been done, but I keep thinking Skeeter Skelton or P.O. Ackley wrote about something similar. IIRC it was called the .22 Geloudenboomer or something similar.

The picture of the loaded ammo is showing hollowpoints at a wierd angle. The case neck looks odd because it is very thick in comparison to the diameter of the bullet.

Had a similar tc rifle barrel called the 14-221 Walker. At 4600 FPS with solid copper machined bullets. Almost took it for black bear from a stand but sold it just before the hunt. Didn’t notice barrel wear after forming a bunch of cases but was really hard cleaning barrel with the required custom cleaning rod, tips etc. Guy I bought Barrel from wanted me to try the .12 and .10 calibers he was working with but was getting too specialized already with the .14 cal

I know Alan Warner some time back told me guy in Texas was having him neck down a BMG for a 30 caliber. Texas deer hunter I believe.

I have a .17 fireball. It’s a pain to dump stick powder into a .17 case I can’t imagine a .14
