We had to dig up the sewer line in my back yard this week & in the process found some interesting items. We found a long drill bit that's been in there for a long time, we've lived here 33 years & so it's been there at least that long. Also while we were digging we found a perfect condition ping pong ball, a like new Coca Cola bottle & a full bottle of beer! I'm not a beer drinker but I wonder what a bottle of beer that old would taste like & also I was curious about the brand. Maybe some of you old "Sailors" might remember this bottle. Dick

Brand doesn't look familiar to me, though you'd lived in one place longer than I'm alive to be fair.. (29 years old) at the same time, I've found and tried beers that I've found like this and they are not good. Usually skunked to the point that it's almost poison.
Super cool find, especially in the condition that it is, though!

Red Dog Brewery, in business since the '90's maybe so not that old.

The deck was on the house when we bought it back in 86 & as far as I know there's never been a bottle of beer on the property since we've lived here, might be wrong though.

Ruth Anne buried the only one that made it past the perimeter.
Better not dig much more ... Callshot’s leg is still missing.

Well we did raise 4 boys & one daughter but I still can't understand how it could be buried deep enough under that deck to not freeze & break. No part of that deck has been moved since 1986, really strange! Thanks for the info, interesting!
