That's gotta be the shortest single action I've seen yet. I like it! ;D I also like that cylinder mod, it makes perfect sense.

Thats a great modification, simple ideas seem to be the best.

That is a good idea. Wonder if that would cause a problem with balloon head cases?

I need to try a birdshead grip first but I think I want one for a CCW. Does anyone in the DFW area have a birdshead I can try? I want a 44 SPL or 45 Colt when I get one.

I wanted to cut one of my Bird's Head Vaqueros down to a 2" barreled gun. That cylinder alteration you showed will help me make the decision. What barrel length is yours? I also think I'll add some Eagle Gunfighter grips as they are slimmer. Oh, yea, a SBH hammer will finish off the project. Do those hollowpoints open up with such a short barrel? I was thinking of Beartooth's 280 gr WFN with a .370" meplat as I wouldn't expect HPs to open up.

The barrel is 3 in. The grips are what came with the grip frame and I reshaped them to fit my hand. I would think the hollow piont would open up if pushed to 900 to 1000 fps. I run mine at about 900. Most of the time it has lead flat pionts at 900 to 1000 fps. That's were it paid off getting a chorograph. I know exactly what I'm getting from my short barrels.

I had thought of doing that but never followed through. I also considered inletting the inside of one grip to hold a small brass or steel tool to help if cases got a little sticky.

Wow, that really changed my opinion of ejectorless sixguns. I may have to get one now!

Very nice modification it's the 1st time I've seen it outside Mr. Taffin's book. Glad to hear you like it, I've always liked the looks & handling of a Storekeepers model. Frank

Now all you need is to have Jim Stroh add a set of adjustable sights! You can't have plain fixed sights on an obvious target revolver!

It's little details like the "finger nail notches" that I believe I enjoy seeing the most.
Thank you for sharing, c.r.
