It has a lifetime guaranty through Remington.. Maybe? When I bought mine, it was one of, if not the tightest 1911 I'd ever owned till that point. 450-ish rounds later it was the loosest 1911 I'd ever own. Contacted Remington and they told me to send it to the people doing their warrantee work. I decided to bring it there myself. Two guys looked at it and told be they couldn't see anything wrong with it. "It has to be that loose because of the coating." I couldn't seem to get through to them that it was very tight not long ago. lol Anyway I'd owned it almost two years at that point and it was "too late now." (that doesn't sound like a lifetime warrantee.) They offered to send it back to the factory if I really wanted, but said they seriously doubted the factory would do anything with it. Took it home and sold it with full discloser for half what I paid. Just wanted it gone at that point. I knew better, but I bought a Para anyway. Besides new innards and a great trigger, plenty of load testing. even gave an old "group gripper" a try, it was the most inaccurate 1911 I've ever shot, and that includes a couple Officers ACPs, Can you tell I still have a bad taste in my mouth? It looked good, but it wasn't. I now refer to it as "the pretty turd". I finally replaced it this winter with an older, used Dan Wesson RZ-10. So far so good. With a load picked at random it's more accurate than the Para was.

Groo here Got a custom wide 1911, DW C'bob, and a Glock G-40 in 10mm AND a GP100 WC 3in..... The round is like a hot +p in kick, is much flatter than a 45, and hits "Hard".. For hunting I would say a long slide 1911, EAA Hunter or glock.. For general , a Springfield [4 1/2 or 5 1/4] a 1911 5 in or commander, or if you want, an EAA . Don't forget that Rock Island has jumped on 10mm big time. Last, Ruger has the GP 100 4.2 and 3in REVOLVER , ruger has a single action and S&W is making the M-610 again.

One thing I've decided on is. Shoot normal 10 mm ammo in my Glock. Get a GP100 to shoot heavy and hot 10 mm cast boolits in . A 180 gr fmj factory load @ 1200 fps from the oem length barrel of my G20SF is just fine for that gun. Even with a 22 lb spring. A 220 gr boolit @ 1200 + fps beats up the gun. I like the load . But I think I would like it better in a strong revolver.

Ruger SR1911 in 10mm. Great shooter in the $800.00 range.

I have been shooting the 10mm since the 80s. It all started with a Colts Delta Elite and since that first 10mm I have had the EAA Witness Compact, Sig TacOps, Kimber Camp Guard, DW Cbob, Springfield Elite RO, RIA (crap), 4 S&W 610s of various barrel lengths, Glock 20 and 29, a Dave Clements converted Ruger GP100, and a Fusion 1911 on the way. You might say I like 10mm. For strictly hunting you can’t beat a S&W 610 at least the older ones as I have not shot the recent ones. Next up would be a 1911 in full size or long slide. If just for hunting I would get a DW Bruin with an RMR. I had issues with the Kimber Camp Guard with some jamming but would also be willing to give their Super Jagare a chance

I’m going to go with the Springfield XDM optic sighted pistol with the 4.5 inch barrel . It has the same grip angle of a 1911, and the grip is smaller than the Glocks. I’ve already picked up an RMR red dot sight for it. It is going to be my woods walking/fishing gun, and pig/deer hunting pistol.

I've handled a Dan Wesson Bruin and a Kimber Super Jagare at a LGS. They felt nice; but are pretty expensive. (Nice enough that, if not for cost, i would have taken one home.)
For a woods packing / defense gun,i think i'd do exactly like flyfisher with an optic ready Springfield Armory xdm 10. Smaller grip that Glock, good capacity, and reasonable price.

I have a Nighthawk Falcon, 2xG20 and a G29. If I could only keep 1 it would be the G20 with RMR and KKM barrel.

In 10 I own the Glock 20 gen 3, Glock 40 with rmr, sig p220-10, sti 2011. The sig is built like a tank. Bought the 20 to be a carry when hunting but have switched to others for that role. Glock 40 with rmr is probably most useful for hunting. And has very soft recoil.

Looking at Buds and I see 1. Kimber Custom II black finish for $645.00 2. Ruger SR 1911 stainless for $810.00 3. Springfield Operator for 975.00 4. Kimber Custom TLE for 759.00 These are what peaked my interest for less than grand. Anybody have any opinions on these. I have the Ruger SR1911 in 10mm. Great shooter. Low recoil because of the weight. Easy to carry. 8+1 is plenty for hunting or protection. Magazines are thin enough to carry two extras if you want.

If you are a revolver guy Ruger makes the Redhawk in 10 mm. Saw one at a local shop.

I own a Kimber TLE / RL2 and a Rock Island 10mm (don't remember the exact model designation off the top of my head). Cant tell a bit of difference between the two. I keep the Kimber for the night sights. I keep the Rock Island because.... well who DOESN'T want two 10mm 1911's??? If I found a Delta Elite I could afford and was in good condition, I would have 3. Of course, wouldn't turn down a Dan Wesson for anything! 4. Danged it yall….
I thought gentle-people were supposed to take it "easy" on the new guy! LOL!

There are higher dollar 10mm's, but I bought a Colt Delta Elite MKIV and never regretted it. Paid $1,000 NIB. Colt upgraded the Delta in 2016, which only improved upon an already solid model. Mine is reliable and very accurate. I have no doubt it'll shoot alongside the $2K - $3K 10mm's. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"
