It would be nice to know what the chamber throats measure in that year S&W 44 Magnum. Using minus plug gauges a .432 would slip in the throat but wouldn't slide all the way through. a .433 wouldn't enter the throat. I'd say a touch over .432.

What always jumps out at me about these older revolvers is the spectacular bluing. Won’t get that from any factory anymore. Gorgeous revolver, Mike!
