Just need a steady supply of Bisley hammers and triggers! In carbon steel, so they can be CCH’d or blued! But do we know an experienced gunsmith and machinist with access to all the necessary tooling and an EDM machine or two whose business would be bolstered by the availability of quality carbon steel parts for all these funky grip frames who could maybe be pressured into making hammers and triggers?

Or a bisley handle, dragoon trigger guard cut with increased room for the knuckle. Anybody know what Huntington charges to cut/weld/finish a dragoon to a round trigger guard?[/quote] It has been about 5 years since Jack Huntington converted a NM Super Blackhawk to a 5 shot .45 Colt with a round trigger guard and his version of the Bisley grip. The total cost then was about $2300. I don't have a breakdown so no help to your cost for reshaping the trigger guard. I had to do something. That square trigger guard almost destroyed my middle finger. Very interesting thread. Took awhile to read all 19 pages but the pictures were worth the time. I've got about 4 blue Bisleys still in the box that I've had for at least 15+ years. May have to try one of the brass grip frames. Probably wait until others sort out any problems. I doubt I could do it myself.

Problems have been worked out over the past thirty or so years! ( and there have been more than a few) Haha. My Last 12 months have been dedicated to fine tuning the manufacturing process to make it a bolt on proposition for anyone. All of these Ruger Black hawk frames of course have small variations over the years of manufacturing and i have left enough extra meat on there to cover the largest and thickest i have found among hundreds! Here is one that might interest you. This design is a standard Super Black Hawk with a Bisley trigger guard for use with the bisley trigger! Massive amounts of Knuckle room. The bisley trigger guard and trigger is a quarter of an inch further forward Than the hunter and the dragoon! Not to mention the extra room for fat fingers or Shooting glove! Thanks to a gentleman on this forums suggestion it is now available with a middle pin for grip panel installation as well and the option to make it .300" longer. I love the look of the dragoon in Brass. I bolted one on my first three screw midframe 357 in the 70s, thanks to an idiot friend of my fathers who loaded unique in his old army and blew the cylinder halfway to East Jesus. The result was a lesson for him and a wide trigger and a MR3d available for me. Im glad you piped in there buddy. I had forgotten all about that. lol Amazing the things you think of or remember when you have covered over half a century Huh? The next picture will be a comparison of the two for you. Hope you like it! Any ideas from you guys are always appreciated! i have already implemented some great ideas from alot of you, because it just makes sense. AND, All of us in the single action world have all had our dreams of the perfect revolver but it has just never been readily available and im going to change a small part of that by making at least the grip frames of our dreams available to all! Almost there guys. Hang in there!

Not a very good picture but it should give you a good idea as to the dynamics! Notice the difference in the bisley trigger machine work compared to the Black Hawk trigger!

Heres a 32 H&R Single Six with a SBY-D Youth. Thought about making a smaller trigger guard but an adult still needs to be able to shoot it. My wife Loves it and i believe will be confiscating this revolver from what im gathering. Im being prompted by her to grip it in maple. Haha Figures, Witch!!! But i Love Her.

Ok, I’m late to the party but have we come up with a price? I believe I’d need two.
