Thanks Guys. I appreciate all of you and your kind words! Me and my Father were very close. This is the worst! If your folks are still here. Give em some love cuz this was out of the blue. I didnt see this coming at all. We Buried my Baby Sister two tears ago (39 Years old) and that was bad enough. But this is indescribable! Thanks again Ronnie

Losing my father was one of the hardest things I've gone through. It'll be 8 years this December, and not a day passes that I don't think about him. Hang in there...and on a less important note, I think you've got a great thing going with the grip frames...I know you'll separate me from some $$$ when you've got your website up and running!!

I just got back from visiting friends and family in Texas. One of my very best friends is a 95 year old widower who has lived alone for the last 13 years. I first met him and his wife at church about 35 years ago, when I was just a kid. He told me several years ago, and just reminded me again, that the older you get the more often that death effects your life. He still has a younger sister living, but his other four siblings are gone, along with all of his contemporaries. These days he longs to be in heaven and see his wife and family, and all the friends that he’s lost along the way. I am comforted by his great faith and optimism. I’ve lost my dad and a brother, and being # 9 of 11 kids, I expect to see a lot of death in my family. I only hope that my faith and attitude remains as strong as my good old friend I mentioned, and I (we) need to remember that good friends and family are worth more than all the silver, gold, and guns in the world. I don’t mean to preach. I just thought I’d get that off my chest.

I don’t mean to preach. I just thought I’d get that off my chest. I say preach on, brother! It is a shame that such wisdom and appreciation most usually comes to us after many years and the loss of someone(s) who we selfishly assumed we would always have with us. I say treasure every day, be eternally grateful for those who really care for us and grace our lives with their presence, and give thanks for all we are fortunate to be blessed with. Your friend is wise, indeed.

I sent a 1958 XR3 grip frame down to Houston last week to confirm dimensions, and now OM and NM XR3 frames are programmed and have been cut along with grip panels. I'll share pics when the brass XR3 with stags gets bolted up to the OMFT Harton 38-40 with CCH and a bisley hammer.
Website is coming together with pics- a large undertaking given the huge number of variations that are ready for manufacture.
Ronnie is working on what I think is a pretty special grip frame, but I'll wait for pics or for him to chime in.
All this makes me glad I got on Rob Rowen's waiting list last year, because these parts will make for some very special projects.

XR3 OM that takes not only Ruger panels, but in this case MY Ruger panels. Oversized on this main frame because it's been milled to fit my gun. Yellow stag and brass aren't exactly a great combo, so nice walnut is definitely in order. Should be a direct bolt up with a little fitting and the option of reusing your old panels. Imagine that on a Horvath 41 special shortie. XR3 NM done as well. This isn't even the coolest thing in the pipeline.

Probably going to have to buy another BH (probably a 41 Magnum this time) just to fit a grip to it. This sure makes it a "sky's the limit" kind of thing don't it.
Two of my BH's have the Huntington mod done on them. Wonder if a longer grip is going to be available?

Two of my BH's have the Huntington mod done on them. Wonder if a longer grip is going to be available? Yep, longer at the bottom with more room between the knuckles and trigger guard for a lot of the models. Ronnie shoots Blackhawks in all the Max/SuperMag/Linebaugh/Linebaugh Long/500S&W/wildcats of his own making. Recoil management, even for guys with big hands, is a primary consideration. Looking at 30+ variants so everyone should be able to get what they want. Depending on the fit you want, I would start with a Bisley model. Building up a standard Blackhawk main frame by welding is much harder than filing one down, not to mention Bisley grip frames have better resale value as take-offs. Same goes for the hammers, you can pick up a standard hammer cheap but Bisley and SBH hammers bring more money- especially blued ones.
