I've been trying the last few years to winnow down the number of cartridges I have guns chambered in. For the most part I've been pretty successful, even moving away from good guns and cartridges like a Bowen .475 and a Ruger drift sight 32 bisley. I've pretty much settled on reloading for 38 special, 45 ACP, 45 Colt, and 500 Linebaugh. Needless to say, a gun has to be pretty special to get me to bring another cartridge into the house. Things like Elmer Keith's 338/378 KT and a Bowen Best Quality 50 special have made the cut. One more, enabled by my new best friend Kings6, recently found a home here. The first time I saw it was in a gunbroker auction a year or so ago. I ran it up to pretty close to what it went for. I saw it for sale again a few months back and, being short on cash, offered some trades which weren't enough to seal the deal. Robb had better luck than I did and I asked him to let me know if he ever wanted to move it. A few months later and I've made room in the safe for the first 41 magnum I've ever owned. The carved ivory grips are by Persinger, the rest is by Harton.

Beautiful revolver! And you'll never regret a .41 mag.

That’s a definite looker! If it shoots half as good as it looks, you’ve got a keeper.

I have a home brew version of this revolver (probably worth about 1/5 of your investment). It is my favorite handgun to shoot. The Bisley grip frame handles any 41 mag load that will fit in the short cylinder.
Great looking and configured revolver. I wouldn't change a thing.

From first hand experience of a near enough twin (mines 44ss, round barrel and slightly different front sight) I am sure you will love that gun. Alan makes a really nice gun as we all know and that one is just truly exceptional. 41 mag is easy to load for and you can run from mild to wild easily with it. Although if you were to run a 210gr bullet at 900fps or so the issue you have is you would need to take ammo to the range in 5 gallon buckets because it would be too much fun to stop shooting...

A guy could switch over to left handed just to own that gun! Wait, I am left handed.......oops, but I shoot right handed, oh well. That sure is one beautiful piece right there. Robb never ceases to amaze me with some of the guns he comes up with!
