Any thoughts , opinions , ideas on the 350 Legend? Wouldnt mind having an Ar upper in this rimless 357 Max, or a short and handy bolt action like the Ruger Ranch rifle.

It seems like the remake of the old 351 Winchester to me. As you say, a rimless 357 Maximum.
May have some appeal to a few. Guess only time will tell.

IIRC I read the brass OAL was 0.1 inches longer than the rimless 357 Max. I understand why, but it's a little obnoxious if that ends up being the case.
I also think the name is goofy, but that's neither here nor there.

Think anyone will chamber a wheel gun in it? One can hope right?

Winchester is supposed to be offering it starting soon in their (I think) XPR rifle?
I'm assuming since it's built for straight wall hunting states that Ruger will end up picking it up and chambering it in their American line.
The case length is 1.71" or something, making it slightly larger than the Max, which is a little upsetting because it would have been nice to see the resurgence of that cartridge since I've been dying to get one locally myself.

Would be nice to have an Ar upper in that 350. That round of yours kaytod looks neat also. David White is also going to be re barreling 223 rifles as soon as he can get his hands on some brass, ammo and have a reamer made.

It seems like the remake of the old 351 Winchester to me. As you say, a rimless 357 Maximum. May have some appeal to a few. Guess only time will tell. ***** Jerry Moran, IHMSA All-American and Python maestro, made a .357 on the .223 Remington case in the late 1970’s, as did early silhouette wildcatter and Unlimited builder Wes Ugalde. Uganda made very fine unlimited pistols and wildcatted the .223 in about every bullet diameter possible. I think Mike Bellm also worked in this area. Bellm is amainpromoter of the .357 Maximum in rifles and single shot pistols. Bill Ruger, Jr., made a Number 1 in .357 Maximum, which is here in one of the Volume series, a very sweet carbine indeed. Ruger and I shot it with the open sights and experimental revolver ammo during work on the Maximum. Moran, a close friend of Bill Ruger, Jr., has quietly promoted the .357 Maximum idea among a few of his industry contacts. No doubt there are others who have talked up .357 Maximum ballistics for carbines and rifles. In 1905 0r 1907 Winchester released a semi-auto carbine designed by John Browning, which shot a .351 bullet from a straight wall case 1.375” long. I think it’s of semi-rimmed (a.k.a. semi-rimless) design, with a little fingernail rim which seemed to catch designer’s minds in the early 1900’s (others examples include .38 Super and .220 Swift). Now Winchester announces the .350 Winchester Legend, with rimless straight wall case 1.710-inch long. The .357 Maximum case is 1.605”. Bill Ruger and Bill, Jr., were ready to make the Maximum case 1.660-inch, and chambered a cylinder accordingly for one of the seven SRM prototypes. I already balked at their readiness to stretch the the Maximum frame longer, as I questions strength of such a BOTTOM STRAP where it meets the front of the frame. Knowing much more about their single action than me, the Rugers were confident strength would not be an issue. Subsequent shooting with all sorts of Rocks & Dynamite loads didn’t do diddly to the Maximum frame. (Magnum Research eliminates bottom strap taper in front of the trigger guard to make its longer, beefier BFR frames. A good move, although it certainly compromises aesthetics.) The .350 Winchester Legend is configured for the magazine of the Armalite AR-15’s hugely popular family. .357 Maximum/ .350 Legend Convertible? All of which raises a question, which I pose in three parts: 1) Can a single shot rifle be chambered to fire & extract both .350 Legend and .357 Maximum? I think the Ruger Number 1 would be the first candidate. 2) Can a bolt rifle be configured to feed & extract both cartridges? 3) Can a semi-auto rifle be configured to feed & extract both cartridges? My Dad, an avid gun enthusiast, went to his grave claiming nothing new had been created after the 8x57 Mauser.
Seems an accurate appraisal...

Here I wuz thinkin’ you and me were plumb friendly. This is how I find out you been holding out in the Dogs?!?!? Still have a couple things to massage and awaiting dies, for the balance of the barrels and uppers I have to assemble. Should be able to send a couple out for an objective opinions here in the near future. Should be great on deer and hogs. Had to keep my cards close on this one until I found it would work.

Kaytod, can you give us the case head diameter? I've seen a chamber reamer drawing that has the chamber base at 0.392" but I haven't seen exact case dimensions yet, apart from length. I'm assuming the head is closer to 357 Max than 9mm, but was wondering. Thanks!
