John has the gun done, & went to the range to sight it in over the weekend... I'm scraping up the final funds now... this will be my 1st big name custom... really looking forward to it getting here... this is the work John performed... Make barrel, using Fermin front sight (Mirror) supplied by customer Make eight shot cylinder out of bar stock 4140, heat treat and temper to RC 42 Set timing on cylinder, 2 hours Action job, springs and polish Case Color frame, load gate and hammer Disassemble, assembly and Blue parts, Nitre blue pins and screws going to make a nice before & after pic in that thread...

Just the kind of projects that make me smirk a little. Look forward to following the progress of this one.

A couple pictures from John this morning... this picture kinda looks like there is a flaw on the front sight... but must be a piece of lint or oil, I asked him about it, & he took a close up of the front sight... This is one of Fermins mirrored front sights Also the #5 Belt Mountain pin was in an envelope in the box... he didn't catch that it was in there ( thought it was a factory fired case ) he checked it this morning, & it didn't require any fitting, so that is not in these pictures, but it's on the gun now... can't wait to get this one home... The factory grips don't look bad on the gun, but thinking maybe I "need" a 2nd set of Rams Horn grips to put on this revolver... I have a PM into LSCG to see what we can do about that
