That looks great. Id like to know more about the JRH front sight base. How are the blades held in? What type blades fit the base? Im looking to have something similar done to my SBH Bisley 480.

Im looking tomhave something similar don to my SBH Bisley 480 Access pin in front base. I have not as yet measured the width of the front blade. Unfortunately I had a hernia the day after it arrived. I still have to call Mr. Huntington to ask what he has available, but I am going to wait until I shoot it with various loads Being 67 years old and retired is a blast, except for the hernia! |

Beautiful Bisley! Sucks on the hernia.
I dropped off my .500 JRH BFR at JRH this week. Getting a shorter profiled barrel, and extended grip frame with some Purple Heart iron wood grips. Jack is using FA sight bases and blades.

She's a beaut! I just love those shorter barrel lengths on single actions! And the octagon barrels are REALLY growing on me! Ugh! Congrats!!

That is really nice. Jack has done some work for me, and the quality was top notch. And I agree abiut him being a nice man, he really is a hell of a guy.

I also had JRH modify a 45 Colt vaquero (blued), had him install a 4" octagon, dovetail front sight, add a little fixed blade in the vaquero groove for a clearer rear sight, round butt the grip. Perfect gun for me.
