Loaded 10 rounds of 45-70 with 400gr Speer JSP and 12 grains of unique. These aren’t published loads but I’m looking for subsonic for my new Henry X model.

More 5.7x28 Single Six mayhem today. Although pistol primers are often suggested and listed in load data, they get hammered by the 48-50kpsi pressure - even the small pistol magnum primers.
Today I worked with Remington 6-1/2 primer. Much better.
Unfortunately I don't have many of them. This plandemic panic primer pinch is a P.I.T.A.
If you have any of these otherwise anemic Remington 6-1/2 primers, and you have any sympathy for my unfortunate lack of foresight in the business of keeping the primer shelf stocked for this kind of oddball application - please consider rehoming them to me for whatever fee you choose.
:-)

wanted to try a “WFN” type bullet in the Ruger 45 Bisley, so a Lee 452-300 GC was ordered along with some gator gas checks and a .452 push thru sizer for some cheap entertainment. this batch was 1/3 linotype (i think it’s lino, awful brittle when hot, melts at ~450) with 2/3 plumbers lead. BHN probably around 12-13, powder coated with Eastwood’s lime green. they weigh roughly 312 grains with gas check and stack nicely in the box I repurposed from the wife. load: 22 gr/W296 CCI 350 COL ~1.575” (tight throats require crimping in the top groove) new starline case will test at 50 yards and report back *side note, i lubed a batch of these with Fryxells 50/50 beeswax/moly grease blend. installing gas checks in the Lyman 450 was quite hard (to the point that something would break if I kept it up) so checks were installed via the Lee push thru sizer then lubed in the 450. The target will be the final decider but i’m starting to get the stories i’ve read of abandoned lube-sizers due to powder coating.

I loaded the three rescue goats and two singed chickens and moved them to their new homes. Back to the normal animal load here now. All of the animals I was involved with are at new homes with great people.

45 Colt- Some Lee 315 grain RFN-GC sized .452 with a fair dose of HS6. Ran out of time or would have had some with H110 as well.

45 Colt again. Starline brass, 250 XTP, Longshot. Some with WLP and some with Fed LP primers. These are for testing in the Model 97. Been trying different things for it.

Last couple days I have spent in my reloading room cleaning up and finishing some reloading i had started weeks ago. I loaded around 50 rounds of 223. 50 rounds of 308. And 450 rounds of 9mm. Feels good to get my bench cleaned up.

The wife wanted to go in this used goods store where folks rent a small spot and sell old stuff. She didn’t bug anything but I found an original George Lawrence gunslinger holster for a 6 1/2” Blackhawk and a S&W leather basket stamped holster for a 4” N frame!😄
