That’s a nice shooter. I’m guessing whoever had it built originally is left handed. I base this solely on the fact that the raised cow would have been carved to go inside the grip of the strong/dominate hand to help control it. Or at least that’s how Elmer did it. I’m tapped out as y’all saw or this would definitely scratch my .41 Magnum itch and I ain’t left handed.

I believe that’s a two piece grip frame: a back strap and a front strap like a Colt SAA. That screw attaches the two halves. You can see the joint line at the bottom of the front section.

Thanks ncrobb, I saw what I thought was a junction line but I guess didnt want to believe it is a two piece design.

He is a member here and I just tossed him out a trade offer just for grins and giggles. That would be a perfect left hand gun match for my Bowen #5 41!

I can see ya' now comin' out a blazin' with a .41 in each hand. I don't know what you'd be shootin' at but they would be in trouble or scared to death one...

Congrats to the new owner! Now I can sleep tonight knowing it's no longer for sale. I tried to figure out a way to own it but having sent off a check a few days ago for a Wilson 1911, my gun fund is depleted for the month.

Man, Ronnie has a couple of other sweet deals on the Campfire forum! An old S&W 32-20 with old ivories for five something and a Marlin lever 41 mag for a great price as well.

What do y"all suppose that would have sold for with nice wood instead of those splendid ivories?
