Chose the 5.5” Don’t think I’ll be disappointed at all, especially with some black micarta shoes. Have a 480gr concept drawn up on mountainmolds Plain base, 75% .45 nose, will seat .52-.54 in the case. Will wait for the gun first and make some tweaks.

Buds showed that one out of stock was why I asked. Guessing you got the last one. 5.5 barrel is a little hard to find. Found one at Hinterland Outfitters. Looking forward to this one.

Ah, yea it must have been me then, I do think it said only one in stock on Friday. Glad we both found one
I know this has already been brought up, maybe a starline rep will see this MAKE SOME 500JRH BRASS! one bag of 100 is almost the price for 300 500L, I assume one day they'll get around. Maybe Ruger needs to come up with a 500JRH Super Redhawk to help the caliber become more mainstream.

Just picked her up, will have to post picks later. Great fit and even grinding on grip frame. Aweosme trigger, no creep whatsoever. Only glaring fault I can find is a canted front sight. No need for a straight edge, front and back she’s canted to the left, man was really hoping not to warranty this out the gate.

Mine does have a slight cant to the left also. The rear sight is also slightly canted making it look worse. It shot very well though today.

On its way back to mri to fix the sights. Doesn’t bother most, irks the tar out of me, still need brass so a week or two more is fine.
Decided on a 465gr LFN pb from mountainmolds, on the way
Moving on from the 480 now that I have the JRH Trading for a three screw 71’ 7.5” 45 Ruger.
Looking forward to the new blasters

There is a video on youtube of them building the BFR and it shows how they drill the front sight. You would think with that jig it would not happen.

Thx, can deal with triggers and frame fit but a stickler for sight orientation.
