MiHec 432 Hammer 2 or 4 Cavity Brass Cramer Plain Base or Gas Check Hollow Point mold. This is a new boolit design (scaled down from the popular 462 Hammer). This will be suitable for any 44 Special/Magnum (or longer versions) along with the 444 Marlin firearms. It will cast at about 0.432" or 0.434" (your choice) dependent on your alloy. The weight is as shown on the drawing dependent on your alloy of choice. Meplat to crimp = 0.320".
This GB is Closed...........
We will need fifteen to commit to this. We will run this until we get the number we need or more, then it is up to MiHec to decide when to make it........ it can be a long time.... be warned and no whining.
Pins included are: For the Hollow Point Mold are 1) Large HP pin, 2) Small HP pin, probably a penta, 3) Blank pin for a flat nose or in the case you don't want HP pins sticking out the mold.
Prices are what MiHec says they'll be. I'll have to check that out.
Sequence of events: Participants order molds and are placed on the list, the Group Buy will close (which will be posted on the thread) at some time determined by MiHec, the molds are made from the orders on the list at the time it is closed or by altering what you want via PM to MiHec after it's closed. Extra molds should be available... order them by PM to MiHec or contacting MP Molds directly . Invoices will be sent out via e-mail from the listed e-mail addresses and you pay by using Paypal...... It is my understanding the invoice will be in Euros which Paypal converts from Euros to dollars dependent on the time that occurs. After you pay, the mold gets shipped.
Prices are somewhat variable due to the exchange rate.... be aware of this.
Post your disguised e-mail address (imashooterATgmailDOTcom), the size wanted (0.432" or 0.434"), mold choice (2 or 4 cavity), base style (PB or GC) and number of molds wanted (one to however many).

You can put me down for one four cavity PB, .432. Would it be possible to get the penta point instead of the small hp?

I have the 462 Hammer and it is a good one so would have to be in for a 44 version. Can you double check the check shank diameter as the 462 version came out a bit large?

Can you double check the check shank diameter as the 462 version came out a bit large? That is the problem with multi diameter gas check molds. I have this one spec'd at 0.003" under max for the 0.432" diameter.... of course the 0.434" would be 0.001" under max. What I suggest is getting the 0.432" diameter, casting with 50% wheel weights / 50% very soft lead, water drop them and let them age and grow for at least two weeks.... they will get larger plus whatever fudge room Miha puts in his cut. You should have 0.433" + doing that plus you can push them hard in the 44 Mag, SuperMag or 444 Marlin. They will expand, shed the nose (doing much internal damage) and punch out the other side killing the animal quickly...BTDT many many times. I will be talking to Miha a week from now and have included a fix for gas check shank diameters in the conversation..... let's see what happens. Edit: Some more information on this. Miha has a combined table of the gas check dimensions now along with specs of how to use them. He cuts the shanks with a different cutter so they should be the proper size regardless of the bullet diameter chosen. Let's see if it works out!

Thanks for the update. I'll take your suggestion and go with the 0.432" size. I will stick with the GC though. I know they are not a necessity in revolvers and most of my molds are PB however as my 462 Hammer this will never be loaded to "loafing around" velocities and I don't mind the checks on a hunting round that is pushed hard from revolvers to TC's to carbines.
