The most recent builds....41 magnums on a large and a meduim frame...both these barrels were shop fabricated at BCA. I think they do a realy nice job....I'm almost convinced I like them better than the rebores and not significantly more expensive if any. Look closely at the transition from the integral front sight base into the rib...SWOOSH! Please, no more... Everytime I see this stainless 41 i cry pure tears of joy and sadness all at once because I'll probably never be able to afford something so perfect.

Don't think I've seen that one before stumpbuster, Very Nice! who did the work? Thanks Mike. It's my 1972 Dave Clements, Doug Turnbull and Jack Huntington custom. It's been posted here a few times, but most of the pictures were lost during the photobucket fallout.

Darn enablers. A local gun shop has a Smith & Wesson model 25 target barrel for sale for $200. I have been pondering my next project and this might be the start of it.

Who re bores and rifles pistol barrel's? Thank Miie I answered your PM.... Since the rebore game has changed with the passing of Jim Dubell, Bowen Classic arms has started offering their own S&W style ribbed barrels. Those barrels that are on the .41 magnum guns I posted pics of above aren't rebores. In some cases take off barrels offer a better (matter of opinion) option. BUT the .41 barrels are hard to find, especially in stainless and with the .475 and .510 barrels they are able to fabricate the barrels just a tad thicker than the rebored N frame barrels. This makes attaching the ejector rod housing a little less precarious. Alan Segrist, the alternative to the house made ribbed barrels is the only game I know of now for rebores and apparently he can't do over .45 caliber. I'd guess most of his work in this arena is doing .32s. I do know he does the GP100 barrels for David Clements. David Clements has been offering the S&W style ribbed barrels for some time now and also offers one with a "thinner" rib for Vaqueros and does a very nice job.
