So Fermin unless I missed it how did you get the barrel off? My 4 ton jack didn't have enough "grabbing pressure" so it had to go up and see Bobbby Tyler who put his 8 ton Jack on it. Wow I have removed barreled from rifles using a barrel jaws in a vice only. That actually supposed me. To remove an OMBH 6.5 barrel I was going to use that set up with a make shift frame wrench and just buy the mgw ruger as inserts. Know I wonder if it would have worked at all.

As I am running pretty much full speed most of the time I really don't have as much keyboard time as many of you have noticed. No matter, if you really need something message me. I work on things until I reach a point where I can't continue and then I work on something else. SO, after quite a delay here is an update on The Dawg. The stocks have been fitted, the barrel hand lapped and set back against the receiver. I have also lightened the grip frame quite a bit. Actually a bit more than 3 ounces but what a difference it makes. More on that later. Anyway, here is a quick picture and I am making progress as I can.

I hadn't thought of this thread in a while. And when I did,, I wasn't near my keyboard. Good to see it pop back up!
Interesting progression there 2 dogs!

Fermin, Yes, I did notice you haven't posted much lately. Nice to hear you're busy. Guess that means "appreciated." Thanks for resurrecting this thread. Interesting progression!
