Yes the Bisley is a BFR. It is an Early "D" frame gun. On those guns the Ruger parts more readily fit, The new ones not so much without a lot of hassle.

Bowen worked on it? What work did he do? I didnt even know Bowen worked on BFRs.

BTW Boge... I had Alan Harton work on that BFR too. There was nothing more he could do to it except knock some of the sharp edges off of it. That gun cut me 3 or 4 times the first shooting session.
I had NEVER seen a gun with such flat/sharp corners before.

Here is my 500 BFR. It has been cut to 6" and crowned, and ported by Magnaport. It has buffalo horn grips on it. It kicks on both ends with full power Corbons. At one time, it had a scope on it. I tried these Hogue grips, but I like the buffalo horn grips a lot better.
