...and like you...I still want to get a Bearcat converted too. That little shopkeeper is just so easy to carry. I want to convert one to a short barreled 32 H&R with ejector rod removed. I've seen a few pics out there of Alan Harton conversions that hit all the buttons, but I've learned he is Colt only now.

That would be great. I do notice how tiny the bearcat is in the hand. A good sense of the size difference would be really, really nice to have. I notice on the gun shops that the adjustable sight models of single six look actually quite huge for what is by and large a rimfire revolver. A bit excessive, it seems to me, just to fire a flavor of 22 rimfire. 32 just makes sense. But for me, I'd like something super small, so if the vaquero-like fixed sights don't really make it appear and feel small in the hand, maybe it's best to stay with the bearcat size. Too bad Harton is on Colts now. He allegedly did the cylinder work on my bearcat, though it was only "converted" to 22 wmr. a 5 shot 32 would be the bee's knees. I think it's a huge improvement over the rollmarked cylinder. Though I'm a big fan of the birdshead style grip of the shopkeeper. Even better if you have a Vaquero to compare. Here's a pic from dougader I found: Might be neat to see all three side by side.

Excellent, thank you very very much.
I see why the perspective matters so much. Nearly identical in silhouette, but in width one is a 110lb A-cup, the other a 220 lb double-D.

John at Powers Metal Works builds a lot of 327s on the Bearcat. Small handful of power in that package.
