Beautiful gun. A midframe 41 magnum really intrigues me. If the stock 357 cylinder is rebored what oal and bullet weights will fit? How would the loadings compare to a heavy 44 special?

When I had John Gallagher do an old model 357 to 41 mag conversion the only loads it would not take due to OAL was the 265 grain hard cast from some of makers. Not that those were going to be shot in the mid sized gun but that was just for cylinder comparison.

The cylinder will not accept a 220gr Keith SWC in a magnum case, it is just a little bit too long. However, the same bullet in 41 Spl brass fits just fine. My plan is to use the 41 Spl loading for general purposes and a 250gr WFNGC in a magnum case for a "heavy" load. I think max OAL is probably 1.62"
