You should probably include who performed the conversion in your ad. Just a suggestion.

I would like those dual calibers in a conversion. Actually not to familiar with 500 JRH, 50 spl & 50 GI or 50 GI and 50ae too.

The 50 AE and 50 GI will need its own cylinders

Sorry to say don't know history? Guy I got it from loves buying all sorts expensive guns. Doesn't reload and doesn't shoot much, but just like buyin. He was looking for a gun for hiking in Alaska. And lately we've been having a bunch of maulings for some strange reason? And by black bears? Recent killing of a 16 year old who was participating in a family race? Just heard they killed 4 black bears and they think they got the wounded bear who didn't want to leave the kill site when the first responder found the boy. I only shot his 500 a few rounds of the 500 Special ammo he had. Like all guns, it shot better than I can and gun shot just as well as I am able, as the Linebaughs and Huntingtons I've owned.

People always overlook black bears, idiots that feed them ought to be shot instead. In NY you could run into one 250 lbs or 700 lbs, in the woods 50 yards ahead it looks like a grizzly. I always hunted them with an appropriate caliber. The have been proven to track and hunt humans in areas where they don't see people often or at all, at look at us like any other prey item. Still just as dangerous IMO than larger bears. My 350 Rem Mag is sufficient good medicine for bad bears, just like most of the big bores on here with appropriate bullets, enjoy that 500!

It is an interesting gun. It's a crap shoot without knowing who did the work though. It could have been done by a competent gunsmith or even a competent machinist. Or it could be an amateur job. I'd love to know more about it. Some of the less know gunsmiths do excellent work, some do less than average work.
