Whatever you decide to do with it, congrats on grabbing a real sweetie of a .32 sixgun!

This DW was in such good condition that I put a slight ring on the cylinder after using snap caps to try the action....This really was in 98% condition as the seller listed......I think the original owner might have shot a cylinder or two and put the gun back in the box until I opened it. I was impressed with the condition......my next move after finding an accurate load is to get a plane ticket to Soda Spring and hopefully waylay and hundred or so ground squrriels..that`s as exciting as any hunt I`ve been on.....

When you posted your pics after buying the DW, I looked over your pictures and the first thing I thought was, "Now, that cylinder looks plenty long to convert to 327." But some good points made by Fermin, Ken, and the others. Afer consideration, I might look at the cost of an extra cylinder... or grab a 2nd DW 32HRM to convert....
Congrats, BTW, she's a beaut!

Some years ago, I bought a S&W NewModel 16 in .32 H&R Magnum. They were not yet collectors items at that time, but anyone who followed the original S&W Model 16's knew that they would eventually be worth a pretty penny. I had it reamed out to 32-20.
I have seen the prices of unmolested S&W NewModel 16's double or triple since then. But, I am not sorry, at least yet. It is one of my favorite sixguns and one of my most accurate ones, too. The 20 or so years I have had to shoot it (so far) are worth something.

some interesting, honest answers.... looks like 4 to 3 not to do.... and 2 in between.... I was doing what "needmostuff" had to say, from the start, and see how accurate my handloads will be.... most of the listed loads have powders I`am short on or don`t have any at all... Then I go to my garage and after going through a number of boxes I find Handguns Annual 1991 with a article about all of DW`s magnums by JT....there on page 128 is a column of 32 mag loads listing AA#9 of which I have around 12 lbs.....a good place to start.... then have to locate some decent cast and see where they go.....Thanks guys........................... JFS...a 32 H&R w/ 125 grn/w/gc from MBW an 2400/9.5 win spp is nice out of a single six...fwiw I have stopped yearning for a .327
