Just think of the .270 as a Hornet on steroids...
You can always load it down.....;-)

Yes they are, always wanted one in a .22 Hornet. Years ago, I had the chance to buy a TCR Aristocrat with a .22 Hornet barrel and a .30-06 barrel. Both barrels had Leupold scopes installed and zeroed. I walked over a $50 price difference between what I wanted to pay and the shop's bottom dollar. You may all flay me in effigy for my stupidity.

Those TCRs are really nice guns! They certainly are, I wish I had mine back and I hope somebody hurries up and buys this one so I can quit thinking about it, if I had the extra $ it would already be on it's way to me. Mark

That would have been a nice package, mine was a 223 & 30-06 and both of those barrels were good shooters.

I bought this gun as a more economical version of my beloved Blaser K95s which barrels for the darned things costs twice what the T/C 83s cost.
Unfortunately things happened backwards.....I never should have started with the K95.......

Great guns and very accurate. I have the TCR-87 (Single adj trigger) but would love to add this 83 to the safe. I have the 223 & 30-06 bbl's. Always wanted a 22 Hornet as well. You can still get new bbl's from MGM, SSK and a few other places. I HAD a 12ga rifled slug bbl once. It was "Lively" I think a rifled 20ga would be the bomb in places like here, where it's shotgun, handgun, bow and ML only for big game... My TC Encore rifled 20ga is a Death Ray GLWS BigBore44
