Those are beautiful pieces of machinery. A gunsmith friend has two or three...one big turret and I think two of the heavy duty sit on top of the bench models.

Tim I'm gonna need a picture sir SBM, Here's a quick pic of the big Hollywood and the little Hollywood set up on my bench. Nobody make fun of the mess - I have plenty of people that can do that here in person! The bases of the presses are bolted to dovetailed wooden plates that slid out of the workbench top to swap between presses, vise, trimmer and such. I have a second twin to the big press outside in my shop bolted to a bench. One more big one, not sure what model, headed this way. - oh - the Mountain Dew can has the top cut out and I use it to catch spent primers. Tim

original owner mentioned his had also pealed paint, but he stripped it & properly prepped the surface & sprayed it with new crinkle black, back many years ago... it actually looks pretty decent... I just finished bubble wrapping all the components & boxing everything up... it should go out Monday
I don't know enough about Hollywood presses, or my buddies press to say... but outwardly it looks similar to the bigger press in your picture... probably should have taken you some pics before I boxed it... or at least paid more attention to it... hopefully it'll make you happy... I'm sure it was a good value... my retired machinist buddy still lives in the 60's... so he never asks what items should be worth today... but he's happy to get the extra funds, as he's putting a bathroom in his basement, where his shop is, to cut down on trips up & down the stairs

Mike, I imagine it is the same or similar. There seem to be a few different versions out there. I'm sure it will be great. I still live in the '70's so I'm not too far off from your friend. I've been following a thread about Winchester 9422's on here (or the RF) and I remember buying the first one I saw when I was 13 years old. I think it was $92 from Mashburn Arms in OKC. About 1972 - like I said, living in the '70's. Thanks again, Tim

Off topic but that Mashburn Arms store in OKC seemed like the mother ship when I was a kid. Old school in every way.

Here's a picture of the press Magnumwheelman had. It's the middle one with two micrometer powder measures and shotgun reloading dies. Very nice and extremely well packaged! Now I'll have to learn how to reload shotshells. Thanks Mike! Tim

No problem glad to help out two people
I'm guessing the 2 pieces you asked about were made to load the 45 colt

Tim - the presses look great and I'm guessing you'll enjoy shotshell reloading. Your dovetail bases seem pretty cool. Wouldn't mind seeing a photo showing a bit more about them if possible.

Rob, Here's a picture from the construction phase - one of the few times any bench I have is ever clean! I'm a kind of messy guy I suppose. The right base is slid part way in, the left is all the way in and there is a stack of extra bases at far left. Various equipment is mounted so the bottom of the base stays flush. They fit pretty tight in the dovetails but I've considered adding a stepped pin to lock them in but stepped drill bits are pricey! I have a couple of blank plates to slide in when I want a smooth bench top. Tim

Too bad we didn't know you wanted a stepped drill bit... my retired machinist buddy makes those all the time... what size were you looking for??? And btw... I'm pretty much the same... any flat surface... gets covered pretty fast
