Saw it at NRA show last year. Marketed by Colt but made for them by some one else. Also very pricey.

Made under license I guess by US Armament in PA. for Colt. Street price isn't as bad as MSRP of course. I have seen them for under $1200 on GB in blued even. I have always wanted one of these, but always talk myself out of one. Seeing these, I then start looking at original Colts and off to the races again! I guess I will just have to buy one old or new.

Wish the .32 wasn't such an anemic round.

It's really not that bad a round for holding off a horde of charging mice and such... Just remember to double tap the larger mice.
I agree it isn't adequate for something as tough as a chipmunk, though. As someone once said..."use enough gun".

He was at the range with a .45-70 shooting a gong at 300 yds or so and some clown says, "hah, may as well throw rocks!", to which my buddy replied, "tell you what, you go stand out there at 600 yds and I will lob a few of these out your way and we'll see how long you stand there!". Same applies to the .32 or even the .22. Want to be shot with one? Didn't think so... just sayin.

Seems like I remember Patton was partial to the 1903....

Wish the .32 wasn't such an anemic round. It isn't......... I load mine with cast hollow points of my own design. They are much better than a 380 ACP (which is anemic). Check out European specs on the cartridge................................

I have an old model 1903 that I really enjoy shooting. I was all excited when I heard Colt was going to re-release these. Thought maybe I could find an after-market mag for it that didn't run $75!
Then I saw the price of the new ones. No thanks.
FYI-Colt is also re-releasing the 1908 (.380acp).

I don't think the price is out of sight, considering a well used original will run from 600-1000 bucks and a near new sample well beyond 1K.

A friend has one, from his Dad. Seems an odd choice for a re-issue ? Maybe just the fastest way to a CCW offering.

I'd be proud to own one of the older models in any caliber I could find at an affordable price.

I'd be proud to own one of the older models in any caliber I could find at an affordable price. The ONLY reason I have mine is due to a fluke. I was trying to sell a Thompson Contender barrel. The buyer was having problems raising money. Told me he needed to sell an old Colt to get the funds. I never did get any money out of that barrel, but I still think I got the better end of the deal. My Thompson barrel was valued at $225. I got the 1903 Hammerless, 1 original and one after-market mag.
