Are they 5 1/2 or 6" barrels? What all should be included with a NIB TLA? The correct box (is there a serial number on the box), owner's manual,

I just don't understand when trying to sell high end guns like these why folks don't take more care in their pictures and descriptions. Are those stags original to these revolvers?

Unless the seller pops up with owners manuals, original receipts and or order forms there is no way of knowing that I know of. Steve aka Cubrock would probably be the best bet on these as far as information goes. I don't know if Grover put any numbers etc on the back of his grips. Makes a guy wonder when the seller says NIB and one piece grips when they are obviously two piece grips. Just glad they are not 41s!

I bought my #5 from Bill directly in 1994 at his home/shop and tossed the box and paperwork (just a receipt IIRC and his model booklet and price sheet). After several hundred rounds the trigger would push off and the rear sight would not maintain elevation. His soft parts are well known, his sight issue similarly. He replaced the internals of my gun and drilled/tapped a locking screw into the rear sight. All problems solved.

I have never seen a factory box for a TLA. Grover shipped them in whatever he had on hand, including plain cardboard boxes, Ruger boxes, and old socks. They sometimes came with a manual, but most of the time didn't. There would have originally been a letter with an invoice on TLA letterhead and a receipt(s) indicating the gun was paid off. All of this stuff is rarely found with the guns.
The stags are possibly factory, but factory stags are seldom seen. The stocks are usually numbered to the gun by serial number or assembly number, but not always. If those stags are marked by Paul Persinger on the inside, they are probably factory. TLA used Persinger for a time to make factory stags and ivories.
I guess a number of us are thinking of bidding. If anyone here winds up with them, I would greatly appreciate your filling out survey forms on them. The pictures in the auctions don't tell me what I need to know.

I spoke to the seller.and it's a two piece grip, as we were sure of, but made from "one piece " of antler. They also is no box or paperwork with these two TLAs.
