Sure nice to see the youth hunters out, there seems to be less of them in our ever changing world, great job, hpoe she sticks with it.

MackaySagebrush is a very accomplished hunter/shooter & it's no surprise that he's passing it on to his kids. He lives in great country & although I don't know him well I know he is raising his kids the right way. They ride horses, shoot, hunt, fish, camp, trail ride, living the dream out here in the worlds biggest playground! He's always flashing great photo's of old S&W sixguns, along with photo's of dead Jackrabbits, drives me nuts!

..if you think the kid can hunt...you should see her ride... She already has three championship belt buckles in Mounted Cowboy Action Shooting....
Nicer people are hard to find...one of Mackay's saying..."strangers are just friends you haven't met yet"....

Way to go Kimber! How do you like the Scenar for hunting? It obviously works well . I'm curious because the 155 gr Scenar is my preferred bullet in my long range steel & paper punching 30-06 and .308 win, but I never thought of trying it as a hunting bullet.

Excellent -- just doesn't get any better than enjoying the outdoors with family, especially 3 generations. Isn't Kimber the cowgirl action shooter you mentioned one time several years ago on "the fire"? Paul Yep, Kimber has been around guns and horse pretty much her whole life, and they are just part of her culture, much like hunting.

The Scenars work great for Mule deer and elk. If you do a google search of Pat Sinclair, who is a government hunter up in montana, you will find he has killed an incredible amount of animals using scenars. Plus he has killed some of the finest big bulls, bucks and bears around. The guy is an incredible hunter. Long story short, the Scenar is a good long range bullet that also happens to work well for killing stuff.

I don't know anyone who has killed more game on public land, in true DIY style, with a handgun, than you have! Quite inspiring to say the least.

I don't come across many shots while hunting that are over 150 yards down here in these piney woods. Do you think the Scenars are still a viable hunting bullet at the reduced range?
